A gigantic open-air ballroom

That is how French artist Yann Kersalé sees the Grand Place. Using the sky as a support, dashed lights depart from each of the corners of the square and converge into another one.

When looking at the Dexia Tower, the Finance Tower, the Reyers Tower, the Palace of Justice, the Atomium or the Koekelberg Basilic, you might have noticed that the presence of lights has increased over the last few years.

What’s your opinion on those lights? Should it be like this all year long or only during the Christmas season?

These lights do so much for the city. The blue lights in the trees along Rue des Arts created an eerie mist on foggy nights, it was really quite beautiful. I think the search lights in the sky were a waste of electricity, but the lights in Grand place are stunning. The ones on the skyscraper in Roger turn my stomach, i think they cheepen the skyline (as an artistic concept they’re good but I hope they’re not permanent). The cubes on place stephanie were great; more of that please, and the lighing on Galerie Louise really cheered up the street.

Youtube has become such an offensive place full of spam and mean sprirted commenting on almost any video put there – that I think you would be better served to keep your material off of youtube until they learn to moderate or police the use of comments and profanity. You could simply host the videos on amazon s3 and stream them from any site you choose.
